An awesome blog dedicated to 24” BMX.
My 15 minutes of fame: one day back in August of ‘84, me and a buddy were down at the Parks track in Fullerton for some BMX shenanegins. A few minutes later the BMXA van pulled up to test a new CW bike… Pete Loncarevich himself was the tester. On page 50 in the picture, I’m the 2nd guy from the right; on page 51, I’m the first guy on the left. Blue shirt, yellow pads and grips. Whee!
A cool video of the Parks BMX track in Fullerton throughout the years. I miss that track, used to go down there to mess around all the time.
This is my bike. There are many like it, but this one is mine.
My bike is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life.
Without me, my bike is useless. Without my bike, I am useless. I must ride my bicycle true. I must ride faster than my opponent who is trying to beat me. I must beat him before he beats me. I will…
Before USABMX I swear this creed. My bicycle and myself are the riders of the tracks. We are the masters of our classes. We are the saviors of the sport. So be it, until there is no opponent, only a national #1 plate.
Amen.
